May: A Road Trip and some Inspiration.
/This month has been full on for me, in a really good way! I started off by doing a road trip from Dunedin to Auckland (that's pretty much the entire length of New Zealand) with my Dad. It was really fun adventure - lots of late night driving, celebrity spotting, chocolate & long conversations. And I got up close to a seal who was having a bit of a morning stretch on the rocks, which was totally awesome.

Once I got back home, I quickly settled into my mammoth-long to do list (which doesn't seem to be getting any smaller).
Here are some photos of my inspiration board - I've pinned up all the pieces that I'm experimenting with at the moment. I've been exploring different painting techniques (I paint with nail polish); and doing some delicate, time-consuming beading. The card in the bottom left corner was given to me by my parents for my graduation last year - a very good reminder! And the colourful shirt in the top right cost me $4.50 from a 2nd hand shop - it's got crazy colours and a unique cut, but I've found it very inspiring and have been wearing it almost every day (no judging)

So that's May! It's also my lovely Mum's birthday today, so lots of love for her :)
Next month I'm going to be working on a new artwork, making more jewellery, working on my branding and packaging, as well as drinking too much tea and reading a lot of books. That's the plan, and I'm looking forward to it!
